Frequently Asked Questions

What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)?

Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a transparent, durable film applied to your vehicle’s painted surfaces to protect it from scratches, chips, stains, and environmental damage. It acts as a shield against road debris, bird droppings, tree sap, and other contaminants that can harm the paint.

PPF can last anywhere from 5 to 10 years, depending on the quality of the film, how well it’s maintained, and environmental conditions. Proper care, like regular washing and avoiding harsh chemicals, can extend the life of the film.

No, PPF is nearly invisible and does not alter the appearance of your vehicle. It enhances the paint’s depth and gloss, giving it a clean, glossy look. There are also matte films available if you prefer a matte finish.

While PPF provides excellent protection against scratches, chips, stains, and minor abrasions, it is not indestructible. It can still be damaged by extremely high impacts, sharp objects, or heavy abrasions. However, it will generally prevent most common damage caused by everyday driving.

We recognize that mistakes can happen during the installation process, particularly for first-time installers. To ensure you have a worry-free experience, we offer Installation Insurance for peace of mind. By purchasing this insurance at the time of your order, you’ll be able to order replacement pieces at our cost plus shipping.

How it works:

  • Purchase Installation Insurance: When placing your PPF Kit order, you have the option to add Installation Insurance for an additional $150. This insurance covers the cost of replacement pieces for your specific kit.
  • Report Damaged Pieces: If you accidentally damage a piece of the film during installation, simply reach out to our customer support team with the following information:
    • Order Number
    • Description of the damaged pieces
    • Photos of the damaged film
  • Replacement Process: Once we receive your request, our team will review the details and confirm your insurance coverage. After confirmation, we’ll process and ship the replacement pieces (cost of the pieces plus shipping) to you as quickly as possible.

Terms and Conditions for Installation Insurance:

  • Insurance must be purchased at the time of ordering the PPF kit.
  • Installation Insurance covers the cost of replacement pieces but does not include shipping fees.
  • Insurance only applies to damages that occur during the installation process and does not cover damages resulting from improper care, accidents, or general wear and tear after installation.
  • Replacement requests must be submitted within 15 days of receiving your original PPF kit.
  • We reserve the right to limit the number of replacement pieces under the Installation Insurance Policy if we suspect misuse.
  • Yes, our PPF film is backed by a 10-year limited warranty.
  • The warranty covers manufacturing defects and excessive yellowing.
  • While some yellowing over time is normal, constant exposure to direct sunlight may cause yellowing, which is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered by the warranty.

Both PPF and ceramic coatings provide protection for your vehicle’s paint, but in different ways. PPF creates a physical shield against impacts and scratches, while ceramic coatings offer protection against water spots, dirt, and UV damage. Many vehicle owners choose to combine both options for comprehensive protection.
